The founder of Macortiz Engineering  is the late  Engr. Maximo L. Ortiz.  He  established it on a single proprietorship basis in 1955 and in May, 1963, Macortiz Engineering was incorporated.

The Corporation has a Main Office at 1407 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines and an operating plant and warehouse  at Lot 5-A-1 Main Road, South Coast Industrial Subdivision, Barrio Bancal, Carmona, Cavite,  Philippines.

Macortiz Engineering Incorporated is also the owner of a 2-storey building now being leased to Max's ( Chicken ) Restaurant located at 1407 Quezon Avenue,  Quezon City.

The Corporation is a member of the prestigious Philippine Constructors Association,  Incorporated.
